16mm Microfilm
16 mm Microfilm is an economic choice for high volume, low access applications. We recommend that if you are required to archive it but seldom look at it, use 16 mm rollfilm--a complete 16 mm rollfilm archive of your documents can be made for less about 2 to 3 cents per page!

Microfilm Jacketing
Microfilm Jackets are created by a process in which rolls of 16 mm film are cut into strips and inserted into sleeves called "jackets". Although jackets vary in size, the most common is 4" X 6". After the strips of film are inserted into the jacket, the technician places a title on the top of the jacket which will help the user identify its contents. The jacket is now an "updatable fiche" which can accept additions and changes in the future. The cost for jacketing is about 3 to 5 cents per page. An hourly charge and a "per jacket" charge may apply depending on the particular job. As an added benefit, we often keep customers' jackets on-site at Datafile so we can easily make additions. Duplicate fiche can be sent to the customer and the jackets remain here as off-site storage.
